The report further indicates that unemployed people find it very difficult to get affordable health insurance. Of the estimated 9 million working adults that lost their health insurance last year, only 25 percent of them have been able to receive health coverage from another source. Another 14 percent were able to receive coverage through COBRA, a government program that provides health and other insurance coverage for the unemployed.

They say that the recommendations that people give on Facebook can translate into new business for them. Many of these sites feature before-and-after videos, as well as special offers. They also allow doctors a chance to answer patient questions by email or to follow-up by phone. There are even specialized internet marketing companies that are emerging to cater to physicians who want to set up a professional online presence. The American Medical Association also published guidelines for the use of social media last year.

He said that for him the pills made him feel socially accepted and seemed to solve all his problems, but it soon became an unhealthy obsession, as it does for many people.
