Wrinkles Due to Natural Skin Aging Reduced by Vitamin A
Filed in archive Studies , Treatment by Gloria Gamat on May 28, 2007

Vitamin A (retinol) lotion has been found effective in improving the wrinkles associated with natural aging and may also help promote the production of skin-building compounds.
"Topical retinol improves fine wrinkles associated with natural aging. Significant induction of glycosaminoglycan, which is known to retain substantial water, and increased collagen production are most likely responsible for wrinkle effacement [reduction].
With greater skin matrix synthesis [production of compounds that form new skin], retinol-treated aged skin is more likely to withstand skin injury and ulcer formation along with improved appearance."
Well ladies, you might want to read the label of your beauty cream and see if it contains retinol.
