The Survivor's Handbook: Eating Right for Cancer Survival
Filed in archive Cases , Treatment by Gloria Gamat on May 26, 2007

Written by Neal D. Barnard, M.D. (with help from Jennifer Reilly, R.D.), The Survivor's Handbook provides details and important insights into the role of food in cancer prevention and survival.
On the other hand, you might want to read the review written by Dena McDowell, MS, RD at The Diet Channel.
As a clinical dietitian who works directly with cancer patients, I would not recommend this book as it lacks enough Scientific evidencein its recommendations. I would refer a patient to read it with caution, keeping the American Cancer Society's principles at the forefront of their minds. However that being said, the recipes listed at the end of this book are worth reviewing and may be incorporated into a healthy anticancer diet.
You may purchase it online or you can download the pdf file.
