Social Vibe and Keep-A-Breast.org For Breast Cancer
Filed in archive Cancer on October 15, 2008
SocialVibe is helping raise awareness for breast cancer by partnering with Keep-A-Breast.org, a non-profit organization creating plaster forms of the female torso, customized by artists and auctioned off to raise funds for breast cancer research. SocialVibe will be selling 50 Limited Edition SocialVibe pink balls through October on eBay's Giving Works. Pink balls will be available at the Keep A Breast Foundation's eBay store on October 18. In the meantime, you can sign up and begin helping Keep-A-Breast.org via SocialVibe today. Here's how:
SocialVibe allows members of the online community to easily utilize their online influence to raise funds for their favorite charities. Members choose a brand to endorse and a cause to support and distribute their choices via a SocialVibe badge on their chosen social networks like Facebook, MySpace and MyYearbook; blogs and personal web sites. Members earn points for displaying their badges, and points are then converted into real money that is donated to their designated charity. Please view the SocialVibe video to get a better sense of how the site works.
SocialVibe has also just created a community-generated video in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It shows that women of all ages are affected by breast cancer and encourages younger people to get involved and help find a cure. The said video is pasted above.

Breast Cancer awareness seems to have an endless amount of innovative promotional ideas to spread the word. But sometimes I wonder, what about other diseases?
