These two have entered into an agreement to provide patient prescription information through RxHub to certified technology vendors in support of nationwide ePrescribing and improved quality of patient care.
"The health careindustry is faced with a wide range of challenges," stated Wayne Armstrong, Senior Vice President of Operations at Argus. "One of the most important is how to utilize existing technology to improve the quality and timeliness of care to the people we serve.
Our ability to seamlessly integrate the delivery of information when and where it is needed during a patient's encounter with the health care system is the backbone of this process. We firmly believe that our relationship with RxHub is a significant step toward realizing our vision of a truly consumer-centric delivery of care in the future."
To provide patient eligibility, formulary and drug history information, Argus has completed certification testing with RxHub and has began processing on 29th June.
CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield was selected by Argus as the pilot customer for launching this product offering to the market place.
