Red Clover Extract: Promensil, Safe and Effective Treatment of Menopausal Symptoms

Novogen, Ltd. (ASX: NRT)'s over-the-counter red clover natural supplement marketed under the brand name Promensil has been found to both effective and safe for the treatment of menopausal symptoms, particularly hot flashes.

This finding is reported in a paper by eight internationally renowned women's health experts published in the April issue (abstract, a pdf file) of The Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology of Canada.

"In our research, we found a growing trend away from prescription hormone therapy (HT) in women with mild to moderate symptoms and an increasing trend toward lifestyle modifications and complementary therapies."
