Questions which you should know about your petmeds

We all love are pets and want them to be hale and hearty but there are times when they fall ill and need medication to bring them back to normalcy but some pet owners are not aware about how to administer petmeds and in this regard FDA Consumer, a health information newsletter released by FDA has gone ahead and listed questions which a pet owner must ask their veterinarian regarding medications. Some of the questions are given below:

How the medication needs to be administered to the pet and whether it should be given empty stomach or with food?

How often the medicine needs to be given and in case it's in liquid form, should it be shaken first?

What needs to be done in case the pet vomits out the medication?

How the medicine can be stored?

What, if I forget to give the medicine to my pet on time, should I give it asap or wait for the next schedule?

What kind of side effects should I watch out for?

These are just some of the questions which pet owners must ask their veterinarian when they fall ill.
