Filed in archive Did you know , Kid's Health on April 14, 2010
The last week of April, until the May 1, 2010 is designated as the National Infant Immunization Week (NIIW).

Did you know that in the United States, over a million children are inadequately immunized? These children's lives are in jeopardy from vaccine-preventable diseases. Imagine the thousands of dollars spent on the care of children whop become ill from various diseases that could have been avoided. Parents and caregivers need to know the importance of protecting children from such scenarios.
If you, your community, or organization would like to help spread awareness on the importance of vaccination among infants and children, the CDC provides planning tools to help make your campaign a success. It may be as simple as distributing printed flyers in your area; the CDC offers print and web materials to make it even easier to create flyers for distribution.
