Prevent Cancer Super Colon™ at Moffitt Cancer Center

What: Prevent Cancer Super Colonâ„¢
When: February 18, 2009, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: Moffitt's Stabile Research Building, 12902 Magnolia Drive
Moffitt Cancer Center is offering an opportunity to learn first-hand about colorectal cancer screening, prevention and treatment - with an 8-foot-tall, 20-foot-long, 450-pound replica of a human colon. The Prevent Cancer Super Colonâ„¢ will be at Moffitt on Feb. 18. The traveling interactive exhibit will allow participants to explore a colon for healthy tissue, tissue with nonmalignant colorectal diseases, colorectal polyps and tissue with various stages of cancer.
The community is also invited to view a colonoscopy using a colon simulator, watch a colon screening video, and ask nurses and dietitians about cancer prevention and treatment.
The free event is from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 18 at Moffitt's Stabile Research Building, 12902 Magnolia Drive. The Prevent Cancer Super Colonâ„¢ event is made possible by an educational grant from sanofi-aventis.
