Pomegranate Juice Against Prostate Cancer Recurrence

Men who have undergone prostate cancer treatment will benefit from pomegranate juice.

According to a new US study:

According to findings published in the Journal of Urology and presented at the 104th Annual Scientific Meeting of the American Urological Association (AUA), a daily glass of pomegranate juice experienced slower doubling times of prostate specific antigen (PSA).

"This study suggests that pomegranate juice may effectively slow the progression of prostate cancer after unsuccessful treatment," said Christopher Amling, MD, spokesperson for the AUA.

Prostate specific antigen (PSA) is a marker used to detect and track prostate cancer in men. Pomegranate juice is rich in antioxidants which is probably the reason why it slows the recurrence of prostate cancer.

I have prostate cancer that has spread to my hip and thigh bones and I am constantly in pain when I walk. Although I am scared that it is in remission, it worries me like the dickens to know its there and could start up again anytime. Would pomgranate concentrate juice help prolong the remission or is this just another story. Please write to give me an honest answer as I am in constent fear of it coming back. DO you have any idea how long someone who has a PSA level of t49 when it was caught 5 years ago has less chance of living longer than someone with a lesser PSA count at the beginning?
Thank you for yyou study I seem to have a little hope when I read some of the articules.
