However, it is the most expensive vegetable here (180 pesos per kilo = around 4.1 USD - to us this is expensive for a vegetable! That's even more expensive than a kilo of pork's meat: 130 pesos per kilo).
Well, I just close my eyes when i pick broccoli from the supermarket's vegetable section and just think of its health benefits. Around here, eating healthfully can be too expensive at times.
But anyway, I mentioned health benefits of these cruciferous vegetables, most especially the anti-cancer benefits:

I really wish I could eat broccoli everyday or even grow it in my backyard. Anyway, through the years I've learned to love eating most of our local green leafy veggies, broccoli is the "foreign" addition.

Some vegetables are just not available in every part of the world. There are probably lots of vegetables that are available here. Let's just enjoy those foods.

I've read a post on a blog about cauliflower leaves. It turns out that some are eating it. I haven't tried it, but looking at the way they cook it, makes it look delicious.
