Novel Blood Test for Human Appendicitis, Showing Accuracy in Clinical Trials
Generally, (expensive) CT scans is considered to be the best diagnostic test available for appendicitis.

AspenBio Pharma, Inc. (OTC: APNB), an emerging bio-pharmaceutical company dedicated to the development of novel drugs and diagnostics for animals and humans, have developed a diagnostic product for human appendicitis called AppyScore™.

In the past 30 months, AppyScore™ has already been tested in three studies and with one more still ongoing that involves 400 patients. As revealed by AspenBio, the AppyScore™ blood test appears to be able to identify appendicitis in patients at a high sensitivity level of 94-97%.

There is an overwhelming need for more accurate, faster, and less costly technologies for detecting appendicitis and AspenBio hopes to fill that need once AppyScore™ successfully pass clinical trials, FDA-approved and released to the market.
