Green Tea and Weight Loss
Filed in archive Functional Foods , Studies , Weight Loss on January 27, 2009
Catechins in green tea may help promote weight loss, according to a new study by the American Society of Nutrition.
The current study, published in The Journal of Nutrition, found that consuming a beverage containing green tea catechins (625mg/d) may enhance exercise-induced loss of abdominal fat and improve triglyceride levels.
The researchers concluded: "The findings of this study suggest that consumption of a beverage containing green tea catechins (625mg/d) may enhance exercise-induced loss of abdominal fat and improve circulating FFA and TG levels. Additional research is warranted to further clarify the mechanisms responsible for these effects."
Now I'm grateful that I dumped coffee over green tea. If the above finding is true.

I don't know, but for some reason, I get constipated when I drink any kind of tea. Hmmm...
