Fruit Peel May Be Healthy: But Will You Eat It?

To me it has always been old notion that it is healthy to eat fruit peels. In the case of grapes and apples, it is not a feat to eat the peels right away.

Although there are individuals that automatically discard the peels of apples and grapes. Like I did when I was feeding my baby simply because babies would choke on the peel and will spit it out anyway because the peels are coarse in texture.
Granting that fruit peels contains antioxidants that will fight cancer, not all fruit peels are easy to eat or swallow.
Imagine eating the peels of oranges/tangerines, avocados and kiwi fruits? Well I guess, unless they are transformed into candies or something else (or cooked!) , it would be difficult to eat such peels raw.
And then there's the question of pesticide used in growing fruit trees, that will definitely land on the peels. In this case, better not to eat the peels right?
However, in this age of people experimenting on unusual snacks, I guess most fruit peels are eaten. And for sure the antioxidants in fruit peels will prevent or protect from serious diseases such as cancer. Not to mention the fiber in these fruit peels that will sure be good for our tummies.
AS LONG AS you are sure that the fruits you eat are organically grown, why not eat the peel as well. But I wouldn't be too brave, how can you be sure that the fruits are grown organically, if you haven't grown them yourselves.
My two cents anyway.
