Dietary Supplement Zencore Tabs, Recalled Nationwide
Filed in archive Consumer Alert on September 10, 2007
Bodee LLC has voluntarily recalled its supplement product Zencore Tabs.

The recall was brought about by the FDA lab analysis that found Zencore Tabs to contain potentially harmful, undeclared ingredients such as aminotadalafil (an analog of tadalafil) as well as sulfosildenafil and sulfohomosildenafil (both are analogs of sildenafil).
Tadalafil and sildenafil are active ingredients of FDA-approved drugs used for Erectile Dysfunction (ED).
All of these undeclared chemicals pose a threat to consumers because they may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs (such as nitroglycerin) and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels.
Consumers with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or heart disease often take nitrates. ED is a common problem in men with these conditions, and consumers may seek these types of products to enhance sexual performance.
Zencore Tabs are sold in health stores and can be ordered by mail in the US and Canada.
If you have purchased this product, you should call (800) 935-0296 for instructions on the return and refund process.
Like as I have always said, be critical of dietary supplements. The market has tons of them. Just think of two things before buying one: 1) is it FDA-approved? and 2) is it prescribed by your doctor? Whatever others might say about the FDA after the Avandia controversy, compared to other drugs that didn't go through the FDA process, those that went through (and approved) is still relatively safe. My two cents anyway.
