DIDGET Meter: Bayer's Glucose Meter Just For Kids
Filed in archive Consumer Alert , Diabetes , Kid's Health on May 2, 2010

Bayer just launched a new meter designed just for kids.
Bayer's DIDGET meter is the first and only blood glucose meter that connects directly to Nintendo DS and DS Lite and helps kids manage their diabetes by rewarding them for consistent testing habits with points to unlock new game levels and options.
According to Dr. Larry Deeb, pediatric endocrinologist and medical director for the Diabetes Center at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Florida and a paid consultant for Bayer:
"As the first meter truly designed with kids in mind, the DIDGET meter can transform a child's blood sugar testing experience from something they have to do into something they want to do".
Bayer's DIDGET meter is made for kids ages 4-14 and grows with the child's ability to manage their diabetes.
