Detection of Sperm Protein P34H, New Male Fertility Test
Filed in archive Diagnostics on May 16, 2006
A study published this month in Fertility & Sterility showed that the lack of protein P34H on the sperm can be used as a predictor of incidents of failed fertilization treatments.
Infertile couples should note that 40-50% of infertility cases originate from the male infertility, so that the detection of the sperm protein P34H should be considered when looking for infertility factors. The lack of protein P34H is linked to a large number of infertility cases.
Immucon announced that it is now offering the detection of protein P34H on the surface of the sperm in all fertility centers and andrology labs in North America.
