Cervarix®, Cervical Cancer Vaccine of Long Effectivity

Cervical cancer is the second most malignant cancer in women caused by Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) that is spread through sexual contact.
GlaxoSmithKline's Cervarix® is an experimental vaccine against cervical cancer. A study conducted by a research team from Dartmouth Medical School, USA claims that Cervarix® can protect women against cervical cancer for at least four and a half years and may also provide protection form other viruses that cause cancer.
