Antioxidant Linked to Heart Disease: Reduced Glutathione

Sometime in our mid-life, we find ourselves taking more and more vitamin supplements, on top of eating more fruits, vegatables and fish.

Among the most common are Vitamins C, E, B-complex, iron, etc. Some even just settle for multivitamins that are especially formulated for active men, women and the of course the elderly.

And then let us not forget the antioxidants that has been gaining popularity for several reasons: cancer, and heart-disease prevention, even anti-aging.

Before we all forget, whatever vitamins you take, make sure that your doctor knows about it and that it has been prescribed, especially if you are taking medications for some other conditions.

For all we know, not all vitamins or antioxidants is good for you.

One example is reduced glutathione which may actually contribute to heart disease, according to University of Utah researchers reported in the journal Cell.
