An Online Resource for Diagnosing and Treating ADHD Medically
Filed in archive Treatment on July 14, 2006
Pete Quily, adult ADHD coach tipped me about the most comprehensive online resources for diagnosing and treating ADHD medically.
This website, containing 22 separate extremely detailed documents to teach medical professionals to diagnose and treat ADHD medically in adults and children, would also be beneficial to ADHD patients and their families.
The Canadian ADHD Practice Guidelines 2006 also contains 14 pages on ADHD medications and 3 pages on management medication-induced side effects, was created by CADDRA, the Canadian ADHD Resource Alliance (a national independent not-for-profit organization, a group of prominent child Psychiatrists and Pediatricians): will also be useful to people outside of Canada.
ADHD is a very common condition that is sometimes undiagnosed because doctors may not have been taught enough about ADHD to do so.
