A simple way to guard against bird flu? Just a tissue:
As the latest strains of bird flu spread around the world, a virologist reminds us that simple hygiene is still important in slowing the spread of these viruses.
Virologist Professor David Smith specialises in infection control. The worry people have at the moment, he says, "is the spread of a virus which has the potential to become a human pandemic strain with just one further change in its behaviour."
