Treatment

Unlike others who eat them with whipped cream, I consume them with a little bit of salt, bringing out their natural blend of not-too-sweet-not-too-sour combination.
Just writing this entry and I am already practically drooling for strawberries!
According to the National Institutes for Allergy and Infectious Diseases, strawberries fit the bill of a "superfood" because it is loaded with nutrients, low in sugar (only 7g per serving) and contain more Vitamin C than oranges.
According to Dr. Navindra Seeram, Assistant Director at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Center for Human Nutrition:
"Most people associate vitamin C with oranges, but if you look at oranges versus strawberries, ounce per ounce, strawberries actually contain more vitamin C than
oranges.
A healthy diet rich in vitamin C can held reduce the chance of catching a cold as well as limiting severe symptoms and shortening its duration. Strawberries are also packed with other nutrients important to maintaining good health including fiber, potassium, folate and antioxidants.
In fact, 1 serving of 8 medium strawberries contains 84 milligrams of vitamin
C, providing the recommended dietary allowance. Just the kind Americans need for an extra boost of protection against the upcoming cold flu season.
Having strawberries already? Share it with me please!
